Review texts, and take notes as you study. Drawboard PDF feels like pen and paper and is trusted by educators worldwide. Throw away the overhead projector and the red marker. I'm on Windows 8.1 (up to date) on a Surface Pro 1. Drawboard PDF is trusted by government bodies worldwide as an easy-to-use annotator for Windows 10. But today I noticed there was an update which supposedly fixes ''heaps of bugs'', so, since everyone says such good things about it, I decided to buy it.ĭoes this happen to anyone else? Do you have a solution or suggestion? I've been searching like crazy, but it seems no one is having this issue! Meanwhile, the trial period expired and I never got to try Drawboard. I immediately contacted the developers and they told me that they were looking into it and that it would be fixed in the next update. This problem was there right from the first time I opened the app. I installed the app for the first tine a few weeks ago, in the previous version, for the 3-day trial. I've already tried reinstalling the app and rebooting multiple times (as they suggest in their FAQ), to no success. As soon as it tries to actually open it, it crashes/force closes. So, I really want to use Drawboard, but it can't open any PDF for me. TL DR: Drawboard keeps crashing everytime I try to open a PDF on Windows 8.1 on a SP1. I uninstalled Drawboard before rebooting, reboot, the Surface installed the updates and when I reinstalled Drawboard it started working :D EDIT: It is working now!! It started to work after I ran Windows Update and made sure that an opcional update to Windows 8.1 was selected and installed.
